These spreader knives are made from Japanese cherry birch, a tree found in Japan.
From left to right in the photo, we name them “Dimple,” “Step,” and “Crank”.
All are spreader knives made from Japanese cherry birch, each with a different shape.
Not only for butter, but also for jam, peanut butter, and bean paste.
The total length is about 20cm (7.87″), making it easy to use.
Japanese cherry birch is a solid, hard material of the birch group.
The wood is chosen by its makers because its knots and grain are not noticeable and its texture does not interfere with dining.
Like bamboo cutlery, it is very light, but at the same time it is strong.
Each types are coated with a “polyurethane coating” as the final process,
which conforms to the Food Sanitation Law in Japan.
Dishwashers can also cause premature wear and tear.
We recommend using a soft sponge and mild detergent when washing.
The paint will come off little by little as you use it.
However, if handled with care, it can be enjoyed for a long time.
