This is a handwoven willow shopping basket made in Poland, designed with handles.
It comes with steel fittings so it can be attached to a bicycle.

The basket is handmade by Marian, who lives in Podkarpackie in southeastern Poland, a region that borders Ukraine to the east and Slovakia to the south.

Although willow has bark,
here the outer layer is removed and the prepared “peeled willow” is used for weaving.

This is a large basket, spacious enough to hold plenty of shopping—vegetables, milk, seasonings, fish, or meat.

It is also useful for carrying eggs, cakes, or bread, when you don’t want them crushed or tilted.

Hook it onto your bicycle for shopping, and after checkout place your groceries directly into this basket.
Carry it home on your bike as an eco-bag.

It also works for picnics or camping, carrying lunch boxes, bottles, and food.

As a natural material product, exposure to water, outdoor conditions,
or direct sunlight may cause mold or faster deterioration.
When using it as a bicycle basket, please avoid rainy weather,
and even in dry weather do not leave it attached to the bicycle outdoors.

Attach it when you ride, and take it indoors with you when you finish.
When not in use, it also serves well as a storage basket at home.
