This is an antique glass bowl, thought to have been made in the mid to late Showa period (1950s–1970s).

Simple in form, the bowl reveals subtle patterns as the light shifts,
giving it a cool and refreshing presence. Its clean circular silhouette is complemented by a radiating cut design on the base,
resembling a single flower in bloom.

With a diameter of about 17–18 cm, it is larger than a small bowl and closer in scale to a medium-sized serving bowl.

It is well sized for serving side dishes or fruit, and also works nicely as a dish for chilled tomatoes, salads, or as a bowl for sweets.
In summer, it could be used for serving chilled noodles such as hiyashi chūka, sōmen, cold ramen,
or even pasta, making it a versatile piece at the table.
