This is a pot mat made of woven White bamboo, available in two sizes, S and L.
White bamboo is made from Madake bamboo that has been boiled or dried in the sun to remove oil and water and bleach its color.
This process improves the color, reduces insect damage, and hardens the material bamboo.
The unique characteristics of bamboo, which is both supple, firm, and strong, seem to be utilized in these pot mats.
*Caution*
Please note that placing really hot pots and pans right off the stove may cause discoloration or burning of the bamboo strips.
It is better to place them on these pot mats after the temperature has cooled down a little.
When placing kettles, pans, pots, or other heavy objects on the bamboo strips,
use them gently to avoid damage to the strips.
After use, it is recommended to hang it on a wall or an S-shaped hook.
Even when not in use, it can be enjoyed as an objet d’art.
Each of these items can be enjoyed for a long time, including the aging process.
