This environment has long supported traditional bamboo crafts and winnow-making.
Even today, some makers continue to pursue this work as their livelihood, dedicating themselves to refining their skills.
This white bamboo accessory basket is made by one such craftsperson.
It comes in two sizes: small and large.
White bamboo refers to green madake that has been boiled or sun-dried to remove oils and moisture, lightening its color.
This process helps reduce insect damage, tightens the bamboo fibers, and creates a more even, refined tone on the surface.
