These Tote bags are made of “Igusa” rush rope.
Igusa is also the material used to make “Tatami mats” for Japanese-style room floors.
Edge materials are used as rope to make baskets.
These are 2-way bags with beige leather handles and a shoulder strap.
The leather handle is a very attractive accent.
The freshly made one is taut, but as you use it,
it will become more supple and the green color of Igusa will gradually change to brown with age.
