This handwoven mat is made from Indian cotton..

It is made in the city of Kanpur, located in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, near the Nepal border where mountain ranges stretch across the landscape.
Cotton, though adaptable to dry climates, still requires an ample water supply to thrive.
Kanpur has a relatively high amount of rainfall within India, and with irrigation channels drawn from the Ganges River that flows near the city center, it has long prospered as a hub for cotton cultivation and textile production.
The diverse cotton fabrics produced there have long attracted visitors with their craftsmanship and beauty.
This Mat series adds original design elements to the traditional cotton textiles of Kanpur.
On this page, we feature the Tea Mat from the Mat series,
designed for use on tables or shelves.

Beyond a tea mat, it can also be used as a placemat for vases, aroma candles,
or photo frames, creating a personal display space.
Try laying it on a bedside or sofa-side table to hold a lamp,
your glasses, smartphone, or a book in progress.
Whatever you choose to place on it, this mat will help create a special space that feels truly your own.
However, please avoid using it in humid areas,
as moisture may cause mold—use it in a well-ventilated space.
Since each piece is handwoven, please note that the size may vary by about 0.8″–1.2″.
If you order multiple mats, there may be slight differences in their exact dimensions.

The original design features a refined mix of ivory and black,
a timeless combination that blends beautifully with both Japanese and Western interiors.
Its soft, full texture and substantial thickness add a comforting sense of warmth and stability.
A mat you’ll want to keep within sight, one that gently brightens your space and your everyday moments.
Please enjoy it in whichever way suits your space and lifestyle.
This mat series is a brand product by Suno & Morrison, a Japan-based brand.
— Care Instructions —
* For regular care, use a vacuum cleaner, brush, or a well-wrung damp cloth.
* Hand wash gently with a mild detergent (do not use chlorine or enzyme-based bleach).
* Please note that slight variations in color or weave may occur due to the nature of the material.
* This item is dyed in India and treated for colorfastness;
however, some fading may occur depending on the dyeing season (e.g., monsoon period) and conditions.
We recommend washing it separately to avoid color transfer.
For indigo-dyed items in particular, wash separately two or three times before use.
* Because each piece is hand-dyed and handwoven,
there may be slight differences in color and pattern from the photos.
