This is a woven bamboo tray made from white bamboo. As its name suggests, it’s characterized by a coarse weave.
There are two main methods to transform naturally grown green bamboo into white bamboo: the wet method and the dry method.
This particular white bamboo is processed using the wet method, where bamboo is boiled in a kettle, and the oils surfaced on the bamboo are wiped away after removal.
The finished white bamboo is dense, stronger, glossy, and gradually deepens into an amber color as it ages.

On this page, we introduce two sizes (small and large) of this coarsely woven bamboo tray.

Now, let’s introduce each size.

Besides being used as trays for soba or udon noodles, these trays are also wonderful for serving rice balls, bread, sweets, or fruits.

Also delightful as a breakfast bread plate.

Simply placing it on a dining table or counter can enhance the atmosphere with its elegant presence.
